Hi, I've got citroen berlingo 1.6 diesel, I've got p1199 coming up, car goes to a limp mode and stalls randomly when driving, than in starts straight away in the key, Code description is Fuel circuit : Incoherence on the reserve fuel pressure (Nearing no fuel).
Then disconnect battery and check continuity of can-H and can-L to OBD connector. If the above turns out to be OK then you can suspect something is wrong with ECU. ECU is connected in car , connect G1 to +12 , try with OBD diagnostic. Remove it from car and connect directly to cheap OBD diagnostic.
The engine management light comes on intermittently and citroen dealer diagnosis is turbo malfunction. The estimated bill is ÂŁ900 .However my local garage diagnosis is EGR valve. Also the oil light and STOP sign is flashing. Is the engine dead or oil pump problem etc. Can Anyone help.

vEOYcqS. After doing quite a bit of work to try and resolve the issue, my 56 plate Berlingo Multispace with the 1.6 HDi engine is still running lumpy, burning oil and generally stinking up the place. The engine starts slightly hard in the cold (not a problem at the moment), initially runs very lumpy and produces quite a bit of blue smoke.

27-01-2021, 08:10 AM. i've ran all my berlingos on the service interval - the 1.6hdi all models should be 16k miles service. Never once changed or topped up my oil in between and never had an issue - modern oils are so much better than they ever were. However, my service intervals are every six months!
